There’s a bunch of progress shots for all you aspiring carpenters out there to drool over.

Personally I absolutely love the entire shelf for 45 cases…..SWOON!!!!!!

Pretty much the only reason I want to own my own house is so I can finally achieve/justify all my custom shelving dreams.

Lux and Ivy are pretty much my idols when it comes to record collecting. If you haven’t already snagged all 11 volumes of Lux and Ivy’s favorites from the fine folks at WFMU then I suggest you go do so immediately. I’m in love, love, love with this room, and I bet it’s only a portion of their collection.

Jack Nicholson was cool as hell back in the day. Not only does he have built in record shelving, but he’s also got a bevy of bikini babes (look closely…there’s another gal in the back). If there’s three things I love, it’s records, shelving and babes and ol’ Jacky’s got em in spades.

Here’s a photo of Patti Smith at Subterranean Records store in New York circa 2000. “Browsing” style is probably an inefficient way to store your records at home, but I bet there’s some people that do it.

If I personally tried to do this my cat would find a way to eat every single record unless I put them in without sleeves, and we all know that if you’re an OCD record collector you GOTTA have sleeves.
